Terms of Service

1. Introduction

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the website and roofing services provided by RoofRepair.my ("we", "us", or "our"), operated from 40-2, Jalan PJU 5/20D, Kota Damansara, 47810 Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia. By accessing our website or engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. Services

RoofRepair.my provides professional roofing services including but not limited to:

  • Roof leak detection and repair
  • Roof waterproofing and coating
  • Rain gutter installation, repair, and cleaning
  • Roof tile replacement and repair
  • Metal deck roof repair and rust treatment
  • Roof inspection and assessment
  • Emergency roof repair services
  • Commercial and industrial roofing solutions

Our services are available across the Klang Valley, including Kuala Lumpur and Selangor. Service availability outside these areas is subject to assessment and additional charges.

3. Quotations and Pricing

  • All quotations are provided free of charge and are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated.
  • Pricing is based on the scope of work identified during the initial inspection. Any additional work discovered during the repair process will be communicated and agreed upon with the client before proceeding.
  • Quoted prices are in Malaysian Ringgit (MYR) and include labour and standard materials unless otherwise specified.
  • We reserve the right to adjust pricing for materials subject to market fluctuations, with prior notice to the client.

4. Payment Terms

  • A deposit of up to 50% may be required before work commences, depending on the scope of the project.
  • The remaining balance is due upon completion and client satisfaction with the work performed.
  • We accept the following payment methods: cash, bank transfer (online transfer), and credit card.
  • For projects exceeding RM 5,000, a structured payment schedule may be arranged and agreed upon in writing.
  • Late payments beyond 14 days from the invoice date may incur a late fee of 1.5% per month on the outstanding balance.

5. Warranty

5.1 Workmanship Warranty

All repairs performed by RoofRepair.my are backed by up to a 1-year workmanship warranty from the date of completion. This warranty covers defects in our workmanship that result in leaks or failures at the specific repair area.

5.2 Warranty Exclusions

The workmanship warranty does not cover:

  • Damage caused by natural disasters, extreme weather events (e.g., hailstorms, falling trees), or acts of God.
  • Damage resulting from unauthorised modifications, repairs, or alterations by third parties after our work is completed.
  • Normal wear and tear of roofing materials over time.
  • Pre-existing structural issues not identified or included in the original scope of work.
  • Leaks originating from areas not repaired by RoofRepair.my.

5.3 Material Warranty

Materials used in our repairs may carry separate manufacturer warranties. We will provide details of any applicable material warranties upon project completion. Material warranty claims are handled directly through the respective manufacturer.

6. Scheduling and Access

  • The client must provide safe and reasonable access to the property and roof area for inspection and repair work.
  • Scheduled appointments may be rescheduled due to adverse weather conditions (heavy rain, thunderstorms) for the safety of our workers. We will notify you promptly and reschedule at the earliest convenience.
  • Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled appointment. Repeated no-shows may result in a service call fee.

7. Limitation of Liability

  • RoofRepair.my shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from our services, including but not limited to loss of business revenue, damage to interior furnishings due to pre-existing leaks, or mould growth resulting from conditions present before our repair.
  • Our total liability for any claim arising from our services shall not exceed the total amount paid by the client for the specific project in question.
  • We carry appropriate insurance coverage for our workers and third-party property damage during the course of our work.

8. Client Responsibilities

The client agrees to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information about the roofing issue and property conditions.
  • Ensure the safety and accessibility of the work area, including clearing obstacles and securing pets.
  • Inform us of any known hazards, asbestos, or structural concerns prior to the commencement of work.
  • Obtain any necessary permits or approvals from building management, local councils, or strata management bodies as required.

9. Force Majeure

RoofRepair.my shall not be held liable for delays or failure to perform services due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, government restrictions, pandemics, supply chain disruptions, or civil unrest.

10. Website Use

  • The content on this website is provided for general informational purposes only. While we strive for accuracy, we do not guarantee that all information is current or complete.
  • You may not reproduce, distribute, or commercially exploit any content from this website without our prior written consent.
  • We reserve the right to modify or discontinue any aspect of the website at any time without notice.

11. Dispute Resolution

In the event of a dispute arising from our services, both parties agree to first attempt to resolve the matter through good-faith negotiation. If a resolution cannot be reached, the dispute shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia and governed by the laws of Malaysia.

12. Indemnification

The client agrees to indemnify and hold harmless RoofRepair.my, its employees, and contractors from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from the client's breach of these Terms, misrepresentation, or negligence.

13. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on this page. Continued use of our website or services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
